Kaylee’s Guidestone Ohio Success Story
Kaylee was the toddler of 21 year old mom Lisa. Her mom had a dream to be independent of welfare, but financial struggles- unexpected medical bills for Kaylee and no child support- put her on the brink of bankruptcy. Kaylee never even had a birthday cake because mom couldn’t afford it.
Lisa came to our Maple Heights Child Care Center, where our staff helped her with job skills. The reputation of our center put her at ease, knowing that her daughter was in a safe environment. Today, mom has a job as a paralegal, and Kaylee is entering 1st grade. And for the first time, she will celebrate her 6th birthday, with cake, balloons, and maybe even get a puppy!
